Project: YMCA – Windermere

Overview

Located on the banks of Lake Windermere, the Outdoor Education Centre was established more than 60 years ago and currently offers residential and day camp experiences for young people aged 10 to 24, providing more than 50 outdoor activities.

Having managed the 100-acre site since 2008, YMCA Fylde Coast purchased the land in 2011, with plans for a three-stage redevelopment. The charity’s vision will see the land transformed to create a world leading outdoor activity centre, comprising a 265-bed school facility, a 60-bed training centre and 12 new eco family lodges.

Scope of Work
