Our Projects
View allFarington Pavilion, Lancashire County Cricket Club
Full MEP Design & Build services were delivered at Lancashire County Cricket’s second home, Farington Pavilion, as part of a £20m investment in a new training and community facility.
The development provides a modern, dual-purpose cricket centre that supports professional men’s and women’s teams, while also offering long-term access for local clubs, youth programmes and wider community use. Sustainability and inclusive design were central to the project, ensuring the facility is efficient, accessible and future-ready.

Royal College Manchester, Seashell Trust
MEP Design & Build services were delivered at the purpose-built Ged Mason Building. The project formed part of the £50m transformation of the Royal College Manchester, and met DfE standards and Net Zero Carbon targets.
The building provides a modern learning environment. It was designed to support 16–25-year-olds with complex disabilities and communication needs. The facility delivers high-quality, independent specialist college provision.
The 5,000m² college includes purpose-designed classrooms and specialist leisure facilities. These include rebound therapy rooms and a sensory theatre. The development also features a new sports hall and fitness suite. Flexible multi-purpose spaces support staff training, fitness classes, and community use. Dedicated workspace was provided for the Trust’s staff.

Animate Cinema & Leisure Complex, Preston
MEP Design & Installation services for Preston City Centre’s £45m entertainment & leisure complex, incorporating an eight-screen cinema, bowling alley, food halls, bars, a public realm space, and a new city-based parking facility.
Built adjacent to the Preston Markets – a refurbishment previously completed by WLG.

Old Trafford, Lancashire County Cricket Club
MEP Design & Build services were delivered for this new-build stand, which incorporated a four-star Hilton Garden Inn hotel. The development included premium guest bedrooms, restaurant facilities, and flexible event spaces.
The Club’s plans included a major expansion of the existing Hilton Garden Inn. The former Red Rose Suite was replaced with a new extension constructed within the stadium footprint. This extension provided an additional 100 bedrooms, increasing the total on-site hotel capacity to 250 rooms.

Former Ancoats Dispensary, Manchester
The Grade II listed Dispensary opened in 1874 to provide healthcare for the local community. It served the area for over a century before closing in 1989.
Developers proposed redevelopment in the 2000s, but the plans fell through. Demolition proposals followed and triggered significant public opposition. In response, local stakeholders formed The Ancoats Dispensary Trust.
The Council took ownership of the building in 2018. In 2021, it partnered with Great Places to bring forward redevelopment proposals. The scheme will deliver 39 new affordable homes.
The design team retained the Grade II listed façades to preserve the building’s historic character. The works also included reconstruction of the tower and new-build elements to the rear.

Multi-Ply Head Office, Blackpool
WLG secured the £1.5m contract to deliver the mechanical and electrical installation at Multiply’s head office for Eric Wright Group.
The team delivered the project in two phases. During Phase One, they installed water, gas, hydrant and electrical infrastructure within the new building shell.
In Phase Two, they completed the full M&E fit-out. Works included containment and sub-main distribution. The scope also covered lighting, emergency lighting and external lighting. The team installed small power and structured cabling systems. They delivered fire alarm, intruder alarm and BMS systems. Installations also included disabled refuge and disabled toilet alarms.
Mechanical services included gas, cold water and domestic hot and cold water systems. The team installed fire hydrant pipework and steam boiler plant. They delivered heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems. The scope also included compressed air services and full thermal insulation.
